Toned Arms With Dumbbells!

Dumbbells, probably the most widely used piece of workout equipment. They're great because they can go anywhere, in the gym, at home, on a plane, hotel rooms and outdoors.
They're also fantastic because there's SO much you can do with them to tone and shape your entire body, plus they're relatively inexpensive to buy to keep a couple at home.

In this post I'm going to give you just a couple of ideas out of the many on what you can do to work your arms with 2 dumbbells, which will also give your chest, back and shoulders a good workout too.

It's important to note that these exercises may not be suitable for everyone, so if you have any injuries or concern remember to see your doctor before any physical activity!

Bicep curls - hammer grip
Try 8 reps x 3 sets
These bicep curls require you to raise the arm while keeping your palm facing inwards. Squeeze the bicep at the top!

Bicep curls - supinated
Try 8 reps x 3 sets
This type of bicep curl requires you to begin with your palm facing inwards, and as you raise the arm gradually turn the palm so it is facing your shoulder.

Dumbbell Punches
Try 3 sets x 16 reps (8 each arm)
Make sure you keep a straight back!

Tricep Kickbacks
Try 8 reps x 3 sets each arm

Front Arm Raises
Try 8 reps x 3 sets

Lateral Arm Raises
Try 8 reps x 3 sets

Bent Over Row
Try 8 reps x 3 sets
Squeeze your shoulder blades at the top!

Shoulder Press
Try 8 reps x 3 sets

Remember to start with light dumbbells on these exercises, and increase gradually to progress.
Also don't forget to rest for a minimum 40 seconds between each set!

Enjoy! x
